4. Setting Up the Gimmick

Placing the Video Player

First, let’s place the video player in the world.

Right-click in the hierarchy and you’ll find the YamaPlayer menu. Select Main to place it.
It’s also convenient to place the Controller Bar as well.

iwaSync prefabs are located in Assets/HoshinoLabs/iwaSync3/.

Right-click in the hierarchy and you’ll find the VizVid menu. Select your preferred layout to place it.

At this point, build once and confirm that the video player itself works without any problems.

Installing the Thumbnail Playlist

Next, let’s install this gimmick. Place the prefab “DynamicThumbnailPlaylist” wherever you like.

There are 3 types of layouts each, for a total of 6 types.

  • Type A focusing on thumbnail display
  • Type B focusing on compact display

Please choose considering the wall space in your world.

If the following dialog appears during installation, just press Import TMP Essentials at the top and install again.

When you place it and select the gimmick’s Root, the following display will appear in the Inspector.

As you did in Server Registration, select the acquisition method and enter the order number or gift URL.
After entering, press the “Setup” button.

If an error occurs after pressing it, there’s an error in the input content.

When multiple video players are installed

If you have installed 2 or more types among YamaPlayer, iwaSync, and VizVid,
you need to choose which player to link with the gimmick. Select it and then press the setup button.

⚠️

If nothing appears when you select the gimmick

The SDK, video player, or this gimmick may not have been imported properly.
Check Version Compatibility to see if what you installed is correct.

If nothing is displayed despite installing according to the operation support table, it’s a bug in this gimmick.
